A custom propmaker in the film and television industry in Los Angeles, James Schexnaydre takes you through his journey from Ragin’ Cajun to Hollywood propmaker. He hails his roots in Louisiana, where he earned his Visual Arts degree at UL Lafayette. James currently works at Jimmy Kimmel Live and has been involved in productions such as Captain America 2/Winter Soldier, Batman/The Dark Knight Returns, Tintin, Team America World Police, Crank Yankers and The Man Show. His props have also been featured in many national commercials. Hear the stories behind his “inventions” and the role that serendipity plays in his creative process.
