Crop, Baton Rouge’s first graphic design conference is on its way to selling out.
Approximately 3 months from when ticket sales were available, Crop has sold out of 2-day VIP tickets and over 50% of single day tickets. Although it’s still 2.5 months away from the April 14th & 15th event, the conference is well on its way to being sold out at this rate. A great achievement for a first time event. “The response has been incredible” says founder, Matt Dawson of Studio Gray; “we knew there was a need for a creative outlet for graphic designers and we are excited so many people are able to be a part of this new community.”

The event, which will be held at Creative Bloc & Manship Theatre in the Shaw Center for the Arts, will include local and national speakers and cover topics such as icon design, hand-lettering, social media presence, designing for motion, presentation design, pre-press production, origin stories, current works, and more.
Crop 2016 has accepted multiplesponsorships, both design and non-design businesses alike, which include: Lamar Advertising, Adobe, American Advertising Federation Baton Rouge, Rockit Science, Creative Bloc, Stun Design, Mesh Design, Field Notes, Industry Print Shop, Bowling Dental, Imprint Twentyfour25 Productions and Big Fish Presentations. Co-founder, Ariadne Dawson says: “We are very thankful to our sponsors and appreciate not only their monetary assistance, but their genuine support and belief that this event will be a creative staple of Baton Rouge, especially as this is our first year.” Crop 2016 is still seeking sponsors, both monetary and in-kind for large print, audio-video services and attendee giveaways.
