BATON ROUGE, LA – Saundra Lane, director of The Lane Agency and long time member of the American Advertising Federation – Baton Rouge (AAF-BR), was honored with the Governor’s Award at the AAF District 7 Leadership Conference on July 24, 2010 in Montgomery, Alabama.

Lane has been a member of the AAF-BR since 1987 and has served six terms on the board. “Saundra is an excellent example of the spirit and character that this award represents,” noted Marielle Land-Howard, Immediate Past President AAF-BR. In her nomination letter, Howard further stated “because of her many years of service to our Federation and our community, she is certainly deserving of the Governor’s Award.”

Established in 1985, the Governor’s Award, also known as the Volunteer of the Year award, is given annually to an individual within the District 7 club who epitomizes the perfect volunteer in their community, region or state. Jeff English and Kendra Kimmons are past winners from the AAF-BR chapter.

The AAF-BR is an affiliate of the American Advertising Federation and consists of more than 200 local professionals in the fields of advertising, sales promotion, public relations, marketing, production, event planning and the buying and selling.
